Unlike most creatives Fred can actually draw! Whenever there is a need for a powerful or stylish illustrative graphic solution we wheel out Fred. Armed with pencil, brush, crayon or mouse, Fred can create almost any illustrative style from very detailed monotone scraperboard illustrations through to graphic paintings, line art and photomontages, he is simply brilliant!

Russ

Our editor and motion graphics supremo. What Russ can’t do with a good soundtrack and some video or film footage isn’t worth doing. He is highly experienced in crafting the moving image; from simple animated logos and brand stings to full product and event launch promo movies and tutorials, Russ leaps from Final Cut Pro to After Effects manipulating the content until it seamlessly jells. He’s also got a very nice pair of headphones (which stops us from all going crazy every time he has to rewind a soundtrack and replay it to edit to).

When we need great imagery we turn to Jason. With several decades behind the lens Jason knows how to get the best out of a photographic shoot! From people pics to interiors, planes to automobiles (he’s yet to do trains), Jason always pulls the ‘money shot’ out of the Nikon bag, capturing the perfect images for the required application from web to high quality print.

Our approach…

Over the years we have developed and honed a simple yet robust approach to projects. The following 5 core stages not only keep the project on track (and on time), but also allow us to keep you informed of progress at every stage.

Following receipt of your design brief, we quiz and question you and your team on all aspects of the project, from colours you like/dislike to your business and brand/identity aspirations. To fully understand your objectives we need to ‘get inside your head’. This initial stage allows us to not only get to know you and your team, but to also understand the project requirements in detail. This in turn allows us to identify the fundamentals and key drivers of the project, enabling us to deliver over-and-above your expectations.
Most visual identity or branding projects are under-pinned with the desire to stand-out from the crowd. To be visually differentiated from competitors, to look unique, trustworthy and be desirable. Our visual auditing stage allows us to immerse ourselves in your marketplace, helping us to understand how we can create a strong and unique image that will enable your business to be easily recognised over your competition.
Having established and agreed the brief, the objectives and the deliverables, we now move into the cre8tive stage. This is the exciting bit where we ‘push-the-envelope’ and visually propose ‘what if’ scenarios. We present great visual concepts for you and your team to review and input on, selecting the concepts and design routes that you feel meet your objectives. We then further develop the chosen elements, colours and typography that forms the foundation of your new visual imprint.
Following final approval / sign-off of the design development stages, we produce the final artwork. This can be in high resolution for large format production or print, or set to screen resolution for digital applications. Either way our artwork is accurate, pin-sharp and to industry standards.
You now have a new or updated visual identity, and a suite of gleaming new logos, time to apply them. We work with you to implement your visual identity across all channels, applying our wide range of design skills from a basic set of stationery through to a full top-to-bottom identity or brand refresh across all marcoms (vehicles, signage, brochures and advertising through to your online presence; websites, apps and presentations). We also help you manage your new look through design, writing and production of guidelines and templates.
